  Finalized  I embedded images, used the smudge and sharpen tool on the text, and used tracking/kerning on the other text.

  Destructive editing has no reversing on edits. Once you do something, you cannot change it. Tools like painting on a layer is an example of destructive editing. Non-destructive editing is the opposite and allows for reversing of edits. Tools like smart objects are examples of non-destructive editing.
